1.
EGYPT
Egypt is one the great civilizations.
Their buildings are like the heart and soul of the desert.
They were decorated with paintings, carved stone, and hieroglyphics.
The art tells stories of the past Pharohs
This very country holds on one seven wonders of the world.

PYRAMID OF GIZA
The temple serves as a tomb for their fallen rulers.
Ancient Egyptians provided offerings such as food, furniture, even animals
This went to not only him, but anyone buried with him.
This was built for Khufu,the second of the eight kings of the fourth dynasty
Even to this day, vandals try to rob structures like this of it's valuable contents.
3.
GREAT SPHINX
This is one the most recognizable statues of Egypt.
It has a lion's body, a bird's wing, and a man/woman's face.
Unlike the pyramids, the sphinx is made of limestone bedrock.
This was made 4500 years ago.
No one is certain that the face resembles on of the Pharohs, Khafre.

VALLEY OF THE KINGS
The Egyptians belief states "to speak with the dead is to make him live again."
This site has been used as a royal burial grounds.
This was around since the 18th, 19th, and 20th dynasties.
Like the pyramids, the valley of the kings has things the king might need.
5.
EGYPTIAN COLONNADE
This the Luxor colonnade of Egypt.
It is the grand entrance to Opet.
Two seated double statues of Amun and Mut are on the south side.
There is also a grand statue of Amehotep III with his wife within the colonnade.
6.
PYRAMID'S PUROPSE
These pyramids are many things.
It has been used as burial grounds for fallen Pharohs
They seal in anything the Pharohs might need for a "new life"
Even king Tut has been buried here.
This was also used to appease the Egyptian sun god, Ra.
7.
TIMELINE
The old kingdom started 3200 and ended 2180 A.D
The first few pyramids were built around 2560 BC
The Middle Kingdom era began 2040-1674 BC
Settler from Western Asia call Hyksos captured Egypt
The new kingdom era started and ended 1507-1070 BC
