I don't really know what this tells us about the ancient Egypt civilizations, because they don't really know that the bird was used for. It could have been used for decoration or as something they used to represent a God of some sort.
Canopic jars: These jars were used during the mummification process to hold the preserved organs for the mummy's afterlife, these jars were mostly made out of limestone or made out of pottery. The jars in the picture are the jars of the Neskhons the wife of Pinedjam II. They are made of calcite with painted wood heads. Circa (approximate dates) 990-969 B.C.
These jars tell us that they used mummification as a way of preserving the dead, we know this because they would take out all the organ so the boys would not rot as fast. It also shows us that they took pride in how they took care of their dead and respected them.
Ushabti: These sculptures were placed in the tomb around the other grave goods to act as servants or minions should he or she be called upon to do manual labor in the after life. These sculptures were found in the tomb of Neferibreheb louvre-lens, they date back to 500 B.C.
These statues show us they they did not want their kings, and queens doing work in the after life. These statues would "devote" themselves to their kings and queens.
Senet: This is a broad game from predynastic and ancient Egypt, the oldest hieroglyph representing a senet game dates back to 3100 B.C, the name in Egyptian means "game of passing." The game in picture is a game and pieces from KV62 tomb of Tutankhamun originally from Thebes.
This shows us that they knew how to have fun. Well in a way the games were most likely used for teaching. This game was found in a tomb, so it was most likely put in there for the owner to use on his/her journey to the other side.
Food: The ancient Egyptians ate a lot of bread and drank a lot of beer, they grew a lot of wheat, which was ground up for the bread and the barley was used to make the beer.
Art: In ancient Egypt they did a lot of painting, sculpting, and a lot of architecture, this can been seen in the pyramids and on the walls of tombs, most paintings had a symbolic meaning for their gods and kings and queens.
Cloths: Because it was hot, their cloths were vary light and airy/breathable they shoes (if the had them) were light and sandal like making it easy to walk around protecting their feet from the hot aired ground.
