ANCIENT EGYPT

BY GIANNA BARRACKS

Language

Middle Egyptian was a commonly used language back in 2000 B.C through 1300 B.C

It consisted of mostly hieroglyphics and hieratic scripts.

Most of this language seems to be a bit jumbled so archeologists can't really tell how exactly the words were pronounced.

CULTURE

  • Food: Bread, beer, vegatables and meat.
  • Fashion: made of linen, wool and often animal fibers.Slaves wore nothing
  • Traditions: mummifications, sacred rituals, magic and story telling

Religion

  • Egyptians were polytheistic
  • Their gods and goddesses were said to be able to control elements

CITIES

  • The cities were all seperated into regions
  • Nomes were the subnational region if Egypt

ENTERTAINMENT

  • Ancient Egyptians would tell stories to pass the time
  • The poor would play board games and hunting games in their free time
  • The rich would hold parties with professional dancers, wine and fine meats
