WHO WERE THEY?

• The aztec were once a nomadic group known as the mexicas
• They came from south america and inhabited areas up towards central America

WHEN DID THEY FLOURISH?

DAILY LIFE

• The aztec were the first to discover chocolate, it was a drink of kings to them.
• Their life was much like todays, the husband did a lot of the working while the wife did more. Medial home tasks
• They also had many festivals celebrating their many gods and rituals.

INCAS

THIS IS THE INCA TERRITORY

DOWNFALL

• Similar to the Aztec, the conquistadors had a lot to do with the downfall of the incas
• They also could not adapt to the rapidly changing environment.

WHO WERE THE INCAS?

WHEN DID THEY FLOURISH?

THEIR DAILY LIFE.

• Their life was much like modern society, but with less technology
• The man had a lot of responsibility while the woman had to cook and sew
• They had a set time to pray and worship their main god, the sun god, and make sacrafices

• The downfall of the Mayans is debated and not exactly known
• The mayans left many ruins, as well as cryptic calendars that ended at 2012

WHO WERE THE MAYANS?

• The mayans were an advanced civilization that existed in south america and mysteriously vanished
• They started out as a nomadic tribe that settled in a city they built.
• El Mirador was the first city the Mayans built.

DAILY LIFE

• The mayans had a very simple and primitive life style, they lived off the land
• And by very strict religious law, involving sacrifice and prayer.

STEM CONTRIBUTIONS

• AZTEC. The aztec demonstrated ingenuity and created terrace farming.
• INCAS. The incas created many astrological buildings using significant knowledge of the suns placement
• MAYAS. The mayans showed great skill in building and stone masonry, creating beautiful cities
