This was a Character VS. Nature conflict because the Lorax represented the trees
The people involved in the conflict are: The Lorax, and Anonymous Person
The conflict could've been resolved by stopping the person cutting the tree

The major problem is that Mary is worried about her 11th birthday (TA-NA-E-KA)
The type of conflict this is, is Internal Conflict, or Character VS. Self
The characters involved are Mary Whitebird, Roger, Mary's mother, Mrs. Richardson
The conflict could be resolved if Mary wasn't apart of TA-NA-E-KA or prepare herself

JOHN HENRY
The major problem is that John Henry died after racing a steam drill in mining
The kind of conflict this is External, because John Henry was racing a person in a steam drill
The people involved in the conflict were John Henry, and the man who invented the steam drill
The conflict could've been resolved if John Henry stopped the race. It would've ended happily.
