  • Summary - someone who is to be tried will be tried quickly. Person has full right to gather wittneses
  • The person will provided with a lawyer in his defense in the event that he does not have someone

  • This article was added because
  • - So people wouldn't be prosecuted without trial
  • - people could have a lawyer if they didn't have one

AMENDMENT IV AMERICAN VISION

  • Nowadays this is evident everyhwere
  • Trials are required before prosecution
  • Witness are pretty much required to prove innocent/guilty

AMENDMENT VII SUMMARY

  • You cannot take legal action against something that is less than twenty $
  • Allows the common man to passes some power
  • Takes power away from judges

  • They didn't want people to sue others for futile issues
  • Wanted to make sure that no unjustified legal action was being taken
  • To prevent judges from being to powerful

  • Nowadays everyone is trying to sue each other
  • This is trying to stop people trying to make a quick buck by suing

  • People Will be trailed justly

  • Just way of protecting criminals from abuse

  • This does not apply as much today
  • every prosecuted person is either executed, put on a parole, or sent to jail
  • There is no known unjust prisoner abuse but it is definitely existent

  • The power of the constitution cannot overpower existing rights

  • Wanted to make sure the government couldn't take away rights
  • Prevents the constitution from overriding laws of individual states that are essential to the state

  • Today it stops the government from expanding in power
  • Used to enforce rights not talked about in constitution

  • Explains that the American government although complex
  • Is not able to take rights
  • Also explains that power is given to the people not the government

  • This was added to the constitution to remind
  • That the government is not taking away freedom and basic rights
