ThingLink Pros

  • Able to search the web for links
  • Great for sharing about a specific topic
  • Can connect to videos, web articles, audio clips and more with embeded hyperlinks
  • Can upload photos from computer easily
  • User-friendly

ThingLink Cons

  • Not the best tool if you want to share a "slide presentation" with a group
  • Better used for sharing with an individual or group of individuals
  • No drawing or narration features available

Educreations pros

  • Able to record voice while creating lessons
  • Great for providing lessons to students in a "flipped" classroom model
  • Able to upload photos easily
  • Connect with DropBox, Gogle Drive, and photo stream
  • Easily shared from the iPad app

Educreations Cons

  • Need to upgrade to "pro" to upload PDFs and PowerPoints
  • Difficult to use on a computer. You are only able to draw, not type. And saving and exporting was difficult to figure out.
  • The typing, sharing, and photo features are best utuilized through the iPad app

Projeqt pros

  • Able to upload PDFs and PowerPoints
  • Directly connect to YouTube, Blogs, and social media platforms
  • Easily able to create unique designs
  • User-friendly

Projeqt cons

  • Difficult to share with others
  • Challenging knowing how to "finish" presentation
  • Projeqt does not provide templates for creating presentations
  • Cannot include hyperlinks in a slide

PhotoPeach Pros

  • Easy to upload pictures for slides
  • An array of music options
  • Can be an interactive quiz or simply informational
  • Viewer is able to post comments at the end of the video

PhotoPeach cons

  • Program uploaded my photos sideways or upside-down
  • When creating the initial show, I could not type directly on the slide. I had to view the show, then click edit to have better editing capabilities.
  • Not as user-friendly

nearpod pros

  • Able to upload PowerPoints, PDFs, JPGs, audio and video files
  • Interactive slide show for students to join in with Pin Number.
  • Easily able to add activities such as quizzes, polls, and response questions.
  • Ability to Google Image search within the website
  • Can easily add to an existing powerpoint presentation and/or combine it with other types of files.
  • Very User Friendly

Nearpod cons

  • There are no templates provided in Nearpod, so you are not able to customize your layout.
  • Must create slides in PowerPoint and upload in order for it to have a customized background.

Haiku deck Pros

  • Very basic and straight-forward ways to pick text layout
  • Able to search web for background photos
  • Extremely user-friendly
  • Easily able to export presentation

Haiku Deck cons

  • Need "pro" version to add videos to presentation
  • Cannot add recordings or narrations to presentations
  • Not interactive
  • No drawing tools provided
