LIONS

  • Lions live in groups called prides with around 30 lions.
  • A pride has about 3 males and 12 females and their kids.
  • Male lions guard their territory and their kids.
  • Both males and females have a very powerful roar that can be heard 8 km away.

LIONS

  • Female lions are the primary hunters of the pride.
  • They use teamwork to kill the prey
  • The weaker lionesses herd the prey toward the center.
  • Then the stronger lionesses knock the animal down and make the kill.
