Early life

  • Early life for Alexander the Great was not as hard as you think, I mean he is the prince of Greece! Just being a teen he went into the army!

Life at the time of Alexander

  • Since Alexander lived in the time of the Ancient Greeks :
  • He had good food like meat fish and bread from wheat and his water had honey, he was wealthy because his dad was king,
  • Since he was very wealthy he probably had a lot of slaves or a gynaecium (the women wove cloth there and also ate their meals there away from the men).

Education

  • Alexander the Great did not go to school, school came to him! His first teacher was "Leonidas" but all Alexander learned was math, reading, writing and horsemanship. ( the training and caring of horses)

Accomplishments

  • Alexander the great conquered territories stretching from Greece to Egypt and through present-day Turkey, Iran and Pakistan.

  • Alexander the Great was famous for his success in the military, he was one of the best rulers of ancient Greece.

  • In 15 years of conquest Alexander never lost a battle.
  • He named more than 70 cities after himself—and one after his horse.
  • The cause of Alexander’s death remains one of the greatest mysteries of the ancient world.
  • Alexander’s body was preserved in a vat of honey.
  • When Alexander met his future wife Roxanne, it was love at first sight.
