Simile

  • A direct comparison between two unlike things using words "like or as".
  • Ex: He is sneaky as a snake

Metaphor

  • A way of describing something by comparing it to something else implied
  • comparison without using "like or as"
  • Ex: Your stomach is a round ball

  • To give human characteristics to something that is not human
  • Ex: The flowers danced in the wind
