Alexander Calder

  • Alexander was born on July 22, 1898.
  • He was born in Lawton, Pennsylvannia.
  • He died on November 11, 1976.
  • In 1915 he studied mechanical engineering and enrolled at the
  • Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, New Jersey.

  • A mobile is as a type of kinetic sculpture made with delicately balanced
  • or suspended components and they move from the motor power or air currents.

ARTIST STATEMENT

  • I like too draw with pencils.
  • I Like to shade also.
  • I can only draw easy things.
  • I do best when im drawing from observation.

  • My best art work was probably my hand.
  • Its also the only artwork i have a picture of.
  • I Used pencils and a blending stump.
  • It was created this year.

ARTISTIC GROWTH

  • Outside of art im creative when i try to draw from observation.
  • The area i need to improve on is time management.
  • My favorite project was the pop art because it was fun.
  • My least was the self portrait because it turned out awful.
  • As an artist, I have improved on shading and drawing from observation.
