Albert Einstein

Albert Einstein is known as the greatest scientist in the world. He who was once a kid that had many problems from communication to his learning abilities and his family issues is now known by many.

Born on March 14th 1879 in Ulm, Wüettemberg, Germany, Albert grew up in a secular Jewish family meaning himself and his family were not religious and did not believe in any God. Albert's father worked as a salesman and engineer, while his mother former Pauline Koch ran the house. Albert had one younger sister Maja Einstein, who was two years younger. Albert Einstein attended Luitpold Gymnasium elementary school in Munich, Germany but felt alienated there because of his speaking disability and struggled to understand the education methods the teachers were using causing him to have low grades in school. Albert soon developed a passion for classical music and started to play the violin. Einstein's youth was marked by deep inquisitiveness and inquiry. Near the end of the 1800s, Max Talmud ( a polish medical student who would occasionally dine with the Einstein family ) became an informal tutor to young Albert. Max introduced his pupil to a children’s science and that inspired Einstein to dream, about the nature of light. Einstein then penned his first major paper “ The investigation of the State of Aether in Magnetic Fields”

Growing up Albert was not able to talk until aged 4 due to a language disability. Even in school he would not to listen to the teacher at times and would work very slow meaning he didn’t excel in his work and always had low grades. At his school the teachers and students would often call him the “odd-ball” because of his behaviour. Albert felt uncomfortable to sit with his peers so, he would just sit alone. Albert’s family did have issues he had to deal with which made his childhood harder to cope with. When he was asked to leave his school because of his low grades he decided to move to Italy and gave up his German citizenship. He applied to Swiss Federal Institute of Technology and got accepted on his second try. From then he started to excel in his education. His speaking skills were improving and he then got a swiss citizenship. His family was surprised and very happy that Albert was achieving things in school.

Albert Einstein had many achievements from when he published his paper about a so called “Brownian motion” which was used as a confirmation that atoms and molecules actually exist. Around that time people started to take notice of Albert’s brilliance and to make it better he determined the size of atoms and how many there are in a molecule by using an ordinary microscope. He and Niels Bohr were involved in public debates. They are still remembered till today and are considered important to the philosophy of science. One of Einstein’s popular achievements was when he predicted the equivalence of mass (m) and energy (E), coming up with his famous formula E=mc2. This formula is a paramount importance because it showed a particle possesses an energy call “rest energy”. He had many medals for his achievements and was soon known world wide.

With his achievements and accomplishments throughout his life he has proven to the world that someone who grew up like him could be more than he once was. Till this day, he is still inspiring our younger generation. That dream of his did indeed became a reality and changed this world.
