Hello my name is JANAE STEVENS and welcome to my presentation about some of the most famous African animals, also known as ( THE BIG FIVE.)

Africa is a place full of fun and adventure, and the African animals are the most majestic animals you've ever seen. Such as the Giraffe, Cheetah, Hyena, Zebra and Hippopotamus's. But the most popular are the Buffalo, Elephant, Leopard, lion and the rhinoceros, also known as "The Big Five."

Buffalos are much like cows, with an ill-temper and skin as dark as black.

On a safari in Africa you will most likely see large herds of Buffalos, as much as 2000 members in Kenya, Tanzania and South Africa.
African buffalos do sometimes attack humans and other wild animals.

The huge upcurving horns give the African buffalo a real dangerous look.

The Elephant is rather a peaceful animal when it is not threatened. Unfortunately, in many places in Africa, human beings have trespassed into lands that were previously the habitats for elephants and other wild animals.

There are two kinds of different types of lions, The African lion and the panthera lion.

If you’ve ever read books or watched movies about Lions, such as The Man-eaters of Tsavo then you know that African Lions are very aggressive hunter. Lions do not usually attack humans unless cornered or injured. That does not mean you should attempt to get any close to a lion in the jungle.

. Unlike other African big cats, lions are social animals, living in groups consisting of up to three males and much more females and their cubs.

The African leopard are the most beautiful animal in the wildlife. However, the leopard is very difficult to find throughout all of the wildcats.

If you are not very familiar with African animals, you can easily confuse between a leopard and a cheetah. But if you are very wise, you will notice that they are remarkably different from their body-build to the shape of their skin spots.

There are two rhino species found in Africa: the white rhino and the black rhino. The main different feature between the two species is the shape of their mouths. The white rhino has a broad square-lipped mouth while the black rhino’s mouth is more pointed, almost triangular.

Yet both are endangered due to trespassing, habitat loss, and much more. Due to their size, rhinoceros have no other natural predators apart from humans.
