  • Starts in Mwinilunga District
  • 1,599 miles long
  • Upper part thinly populated with pastoralist, farmers, &fishermen

LAKE MALAWI

  • 365 miles north- south
  • 52 miles east- west
  • "The Calendar Lake"
  • Rich in fish harvest
  • Important role in the economy
  • In Malawi, Mozambique, & Tanzania

MOUNT KILIMINJARO

  • 19, 341 feet tall
  • Part of Eastern Rift Mountains
  • Stratovolcano
  • 3 volcanic cones: Kibo, Mawenzi, & Shira

TROPICAL WET&DRY

  • Have a distinct dry season
  • Monthly rainfall in dry season is less than 6cm for more than 2 months
  • Jungles turn into savanna grasslands

STEPPE

  • Intermediate climate between desert&humid climates.
  • Supports vegetation
  • Mainly dominated by grasses&shrubs
