FUNCTION
An Adverb answers how, when, where, to what extent and how often. We have different types of Adverbs.( Manner, Place, Time, Frequency, Degree)

FORMS
1) In most cases, an adverb is formed by adding '-ly' to an adjective: quick - quickly
2) For the adjective that ends in '-y', replace the 'y' with 'i' and add '-ly': happy-happily

FORMS
3) If the adjective ends in -'able', '-ible', or '-le', replace the '-e' with 'y':gentle -gently
4) If the adjective ends in '-ic', add '-ally':basic-basically
Exception: public-publicly

FORMS
5)Some adverbs have the same form as the adjective:
(early,fast,hard,high,late, near,straight)
6) The adjective good is irregular: its adverb form is well.

FORMS
The 3 main positions of Adverbs.
1) Adverbs at the beginning of a sentence.( Unfortunately, we missed the flight )
2) Adverbs in the middle of a sentence. ( He often plays basketball)
3) Adverbs at the end of a sentence. ( Ahmed reads a comic every afternoon )

FORMS
We can never put an adverb between the verb & an object. eg ( we play often football ) instead it should be ( we often play football ) . If there are more adverbs at the end of a sentence, the word order is normally: Manner > Place > Time eg: ( Mohamed sang the song happily in the kitchen yesterday evening )

Examples of Adverbs in Sentences
1) Ibrahim quickly runs to the door
2) The cat slowly approaches to hunt its prey
3) He randomly picks a card
4) She elegantly walks inside the class
5) He drives incredibly fast.
