IN BRAUNAU AM INN, AUSTRIA, A GERMAN FRONTIRE

After his father, Alois, retired as a state customs official, Hitler spent most of his childhood in Linz, Upper Austria’s capital

Hitler didn’t want to follow in his father’s footsteps as a civil servant, he soon began struggling in secondary school

Because he was struggling, Hitler dropped out of secondary school

Alois died and Hitler perused his dream of being an artist although he was rejected from Vienna’s Academy of Fine Arts

During this time, Hitler became interested in politics, and came up with ideas that would eventually shape Nazi ideology

IN 1913 HITLER MOVED TO MUNICH

Hitler was deployed October 1914 to Belgium to fight the Great War

He also won the rare iron cross FIRST CLASS and wore it the rest of his life

Hitler was in a group called the NAZIS. They adopted a version of the hooked cross

MANY FORMER ARMY OFFICERS WOULD SOON JOIN THE NAZIS

HITLER WAS SENTENCED FOR FIVE YEARS IN PRISON AFTER BEING TRIED FOR TREASON

BY 1940, OVER 6 MILLION COPIES OF MEIN KAMPF WERE SOLD

During his 20’s, Hitler drew out plans for when he came to power in Germany

MARCH 23, THE REICHSTAG PASSED THE ENABLING ACT, GIVING HITLER COMPLETE POWER

PEOPLE CALLED HITLER FRÜHER WHICH MEANT SUPREME LEADER

HITLER ESTABLISHED THE HITLER YOUTH TO ORGANIZE YOUNGSTERS

GERMANY’S ALLIANCE WITH JAPAN MEANT HE HAD TO DECLARE WAR ON THE U.S AS WELL, STARTING WWII

HITLER BECAME INCREASINGLY ILL. HE RELIED ON MEDICATIONS

HITLER DIRECTED ANOTHER OFFENSIVE THROUGH THE ARDENNES, HOPING TO SPLIT BRITISH AND AMERICAN FORCES

HORRIBLE DESTRUCTION WAS RECEIVED, FOREVER CHANGING THE HISTORY OF GERMANY, EUROPE, AND THE WORLD

AT MIDNIGHT, HITLER SHOT HIMSELF AND HIS BODY WAS BURNED DUE TO HIS ORDERS.
