WHERE IT CAME FROM

• Adolf Dassler founded adidas in the early 1900s.
• He was born in a small German town in 1900. He later went on to create a shoe company with his brother, who later founded a rival company, puma.
• Adolf died in 1978.

EDUCATION

• Adolf Dassler was originally trained to work as a baker, but when his family started a shoemaking business, he decided to start making footwear

HOW THE PRODUCT STARTED

• Adidas started out as a family business that made lightweight football shoes
• Nobody thought that this would take off until a famous German football team won a game in these shoes
• The adidas company then started making other athletic gear and continued to expand.
• The motivation behind their expansion was how popular their shoes had become

• Worldwide Awards and Recognition: Adidas ranks third among the "Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations in the World" and is recognized as the best European company and leader in its industry

Adidas has gone through several logos over the years. Their current logo uses 3 stripes and was adopted in 1997.
