Adaptation is the process by which a species becomes better suited to its environment.

An adaptation is a change to fit a different situation, or the result of that change.

Ducks are birds that have evolved to have webbed feet. This adaptation helps them move quickly through the water.

Predator- A predator is an animal that hunts other animals and uses them as food.

House cats are predators. They often hunt rats and mice that come into their home.

Prey- Prey is a creature that is hunted and killed for food.

Many spiders sting their prey, and then eat it slowly.

Camouflage- When you camouflage something, you disguise it so that it cannot be seen.

The white fur of a polar bear acts as camouflage in the snow. When it's prey cannot see it, the polar bear can hunt more easily.

Mimicry- Mimicry is when one living thing looks like a different living thing.
