Who is Charlie Rooks?
Charlie is a 34 year old woman who has been subjected to possibly the worst sustained period of torture. She was kidnaped in an unknown location.

Some of the forms of torture included:
-Eating photos of diseased loved ones as well as other objects
-sleeping naked standing up
- getting beaten with a hammer

Charlie was pregnant at the time, and her kidnapper tried to make her get an abortion. The baby was put in a horrible environment, so it died.

Missing posters went up, and the authorities went door to door looking for her. Charlie was found in the basement of her kidnapper house with a bloody eye, and other fatal wounds.

The kidnapper was sentenced to life in prison. His name has not been shared.
The sources of support that were used were the police, because they arrested the man that kidnapped her. I chose this case study, because, at first I thought that it was fake, but it turned out to be a real interview. It was just really interesting to find out how someone would treat a pregnant woman that way.
