{God called Abraham} On a normal day, Abraham heard a voice from God, saying "Go to the land of Canaan and settle. My covenant to you is to give you as many descendants as the stars, so Abraham went to Canaan to start a family.
{Abraham and Isaac} Abraham had a son named Isaac. God told Abraham to go to a mountaintop and sacrifice Isaac. He didn't want to do it, but he accepted the will of God, so Abraham went to gather wood for the killing of Isaac, then they were off. When they got to the top of the mountain Isaac asked, "Where is the sheep that we shall sacrifice?" and Abraham replied, "Trust God." Before Abraham was about to kill Isaac, an angel appeared and said "Wait! Don't kill your son! You were only being tested by God." Abraham was relieved.
{Isaac, Jacob, and Esau} When Isaac got older he had two sons, Jacob and Esau. As he got older, he became blind and soon it was time for him to die. Isaac's original plan was to give his birthright to Esau, because he was the oldest and that's what usually happened. But when Rebekah, Isaac's wife, found out Jacob wouldn't be getting the birthright she was mad, so she had Jacob trick his brother into giving him the birthright. One day Esau walked in on Jacob cooking. Esau was very hungry and wanted food. Jacob said he would give Esau some food, but only if he could have the birthright.
{More on Jacob} Jacob had to dress up like Esau to get the birthright from Isaac. Esau was very hairy. Jacob wasn't. Jacob had to go hunting for animal fur and put it on himself to receive it from their dad. Jacob went to his father, received the blessing. Esau was furious that he was tricked and plotted to kill Jacob. Rebekah found out and had him go to Haran to stay with her brother, Laban. While Jacob was there he fell in love with Laban's youngest daughter, Rachel. Laban made a deal with him and said if he worked for 7 years he could marry Rachel. Soon enough 7 years passed and it was the wedding day. When he took off his "wife's" vale, he was tricked. He accidentally married Laban's oldest daughter, Leah. Then he finally was able to marry Rachel after a while.
{Jacob and Rachel} Jacob and Rachel had 12 sons. They both had a favorite, Joseph. They awarded him with gifts and really expressed their love for Joseph a lot around their other 11 children. Finally the other brothers were tired of not being awarded and loved the most. They plotted to kill Joseph. One night they threw him in a well. Later they saw some traveling Ishmaelites and offered to sell him to them. They got 20 silver pieces from him.
{More dreams} The Pharaoh heard about what Jacob was doing and had some dreams for him to interpret. His dream was there was 7 cows healthy, and 7 unhealthy cows. Then ripe, good grain, but behind nasty, rotten grain. Joseph said in Egypt there would be 7 years of good crops, but 7 years after, bad.
{Good news} The Pharaoh was so pleased with Joseph's work that he made him the governor over all of Egypt. Egypt had a lot of good crops and Canaan, Joseph's home town, didn't have any. Israel 10 of his sons to Egypt to beg for food. When Joseph's brothers arrived they didn't realize it was him. He framed one of his brothers, Benjiman, by giving him tons of gifts and then snuck a cup into the bag he gave him. Joseph sent a guard after them and they stuck up for him and said he didn't take it. The guards still had him return to Joseph. He revealed he was their brother and forgave them for their sins.
