The Bible is a big book, and even though I have read through it before, I know that there are parts that I did not actively engage with. By taking the chapters one of the time, I really can't gloss over very much. Every chapter will receive the attention it deserves.
I guess I am supposed to have a target audience, but if you came here, I want you to gain something of value. It makes my target audience pretty broad. The Bible is pretty important stuff, and I believe it can be good for everyone. Either you already understand why it is valuable, or you are trying to find it out if you ended up on my site.
I want your support. I want you to go on this journey with me, and I don't want to go off the deep end. I want to be faithful to the Bible and truly honor the word of God. You all play a large part in that process, and as my readers, we can all grow together.
After reading Not a Fan by Kyle Idleman, I was convicted to serve God wherever, whenever and with whatever He told me to do. For some reason, writing this blog came to mind, and I felt like it was something I had to do. I started writing this before my senior year of college. I knew I was adding one more thing to my already overwhelming schedule, but it was what I saw I needed to do. If I was going to live by those first three principles and glorify God, I needed to do what He was calling me to do.
I seriously mean that. If you want to get in touch with me, I welcome emails and am generally pretty good about replying within a day or so. You can also always comment on any of my pieces, and I try to respond promptly to them as well.
