ADJACENT ANGLES

Adjacent angles are two angles that have a common vertex and a common side.

BASE

The lowest part or edge of something

COEFFICENT

  • A numerical or constant quantity placed before multiplying the variable in a algebraic expression

DILATION

A type of transformation that changes the size

EXTERIOR ANGLES

  • The angle between a side of a rectillinear figure and an adjacent side extended outward

FUNCTION

  • A function is therefore a many-to-one (or sometimes one-to-one) relation. The set of values at which a function is defined is called its domain, while the set of values that the function can produce is called its range.

GEOMETRIC SEQUENCE

A sequence with the ratio between two consecutive terms constant

HYPOTENUSE

The longest side of the right triangle, opposite the right angle

INTERIOR ANGLES

The angle between adjacent sides of a rectilinear figure

JOINT VARIATION

Two or more variables

KITE

A 4-sided flat shape with straight sides

LINEAR

Arranged in or extending along a straight or nearly straight line

MEDIAN

The middle

NULL SET

Empty set

OUTLIER

Experimental error

PI

Goes on forever

QUADRANTS

Four quarters

RADIUS

Half of a diameter

SLOPE

Steepness of the line

TRANSFORMATION

Change in form or appearance

UNDEFINED SLOPE

Straight vertical line

VARIABLE

Mathematical expression

WHOLE NUMBERS

Numbers like 1,2,3

X-AXIS

Horizontal

Y-AXIS

Vertical

ZERO

It is not positive nor negative
