• She loves getting attention and she is very stuck up.
• She distorts the truth which Stanley hates.
• She was a high school english teacher until she got fired.

STANLEY KOWALSKI

• Stella's trifling husband that is extremely passionate about her.
• Treats his sister-in-law Blanche terrible and tries to uncover all her secrets.
• He beats his wife knowing she is pregnant.
• He rapes Blanche and then suggests that his wife put her in an institution.
• He fought in WWII but now works as an Auto Parts Salesmen.

THOMAS LANIER (TENNESSEE) WILLIAMS

• American playwright
• He became famous With The Glass Menagerie which was a reflection of his unhappy background.
• He had a couple of hits including A Street Car Named Desire, Cat On A Hot Tin Roof
• Later in life he became dependent on drugs and alcohol. His career went down hill from there.
• In 1979, 4 years before he died he was placed in the American Theater Hall Of Fame.
