Fifth grade marks the opportunity to learn band instruments. Each offers its' own challenge, but with a couple exceptions is generally less challenging than the string family. Here is an example of band music.

Music can help thinking skills develop more quickly in adolescents who participate in musical groups.

Once started on a musical journey, most students will continue through high school, many will still use their skills through college and some will never stop using them and continue to make music in some way through adulthood.
