Reasons You Might Use This Strategy

  • You want your students' writing to stay on topic
  • You want a creative way to share information
  • You want your students' writing to have variety
  • You want your students to have fun with their writing!

How To Begin

  • Pick a familiar book or experience
  • Start with a small number of letters (a b c)
  • Write the title at the top of the page
  • Write A, B, C, etc. in downward fashion
  • Write a sentence starting with a word that begins with A.

Partner up or solo
