PRESENTATION OUTLINE

The Seven Sacraments

BAPTISM, EUCHARIST, RECONCILIATION, CONFIRMATION, MATRIMONY, HOLY ORDERS, ANOINTING OF THE SICK

Baptism

  • In Baptism we are cleaned from Original Sin.
  • When you are baptized you become part of the Catholic Church.
  • The water poured on your head it sybolizes you becoming clean from your sins.
  • Usually you get baptized when you are a baby but some catholics get baptized later.

Reconciliation

  • Reconciliation is when we confess our sins and we are forgiven by God.
  • In Reconciliation we are forgiven from all of our sins.
  • God will forgive anyone who confesses their sins to Him.

Eucharist

  • Eucharist is when we unite to eat Jesus' body and blood.
  • Bread and wine symbolise Jesus' body and blood.
  • When we have the Eucharist we remember Jesus' and his sacrifice for us.

Confirmation

  • Confirmation is when we become full members of the Church.
  • Christians usually get confirmed in high school.
  • When you get confirmed we remember our baptism.
  • When we go through confirmation we get the gift of the Holy Spirit.

MATRIMONY

  • When two people give them selves totally to each other.
  • When two catholics begin a new catholic family.
  • A lot of catholics go through this sacrament but some don't.
  • When you don't go through Matrimony you give yourself totally to God.

HOLY ORDERS

  • When a priest goes through Holy Orders he becomes ordained by making his vows.
  • When a man becomes a priest he gives sacraments to others.
  • When I priest becomes a priest he cannot go through matrimony.

ANOINTING OF THE SICK

  • When someone is sick psychically, spiritually, or mentally they can go through this sacrament.
  • Anointing of the Sick is known as the last rights.
  • Anointing of the Sick is also known as Extreme Unction.
