STEPS OF NATURAL SELECTION
- Overproduction
- Variation
- Adaptation
- Selection
Overproduction
The act when too many offspring are produced.
Variation
Due to the combination of genes inherited from parents different offspring have different traits
Adaptation
Some of those different traits may give them a slight advantage over others increasing the chances for survival.
SELECTION
- Those who are adapted survive better
- They pass their genes to the next generation
O.V.A.S
- Abbreviation of steps of natural selection
