The hour after school was out, we were driving to Santa Barbra with my grandparents and cousin from Japan. There, we went to museums, watched the World Cup, and relaxed at our house. We also played baseball in our front yard which was really fun
A week after school was out, we went to Yosemite. We hiked, played in the lake, and went camping. We saw four bears. Three while we were driving, and one camping. We also saw lots of deer, and many more wild animals. It was so beautiful and fun!
In July, we stayed home, but in August we started packing for the biggest event of the summer... Sleep-away camp! After the long bus ride, we finally arrived in the Sierra Mountains. At camp, there were many activities, but my favorite was wake boarding. Sometimes we slept under the stars, and sometimes in our cabin. It was the most fun two weeks of my life!
A couple days after camp, we flew to Salt Lake City, spent a night there, then drove to Wyoming. We arrived at my uncle's ranch at about five. The next day, we explored the 56 acre ranch. We saw deer, elk, moose, bison and hawks there. We also went to the Grand Tetons and because of the early winter, it snowed in August!
After a couple days in Jackson, we went to Yellowstone. There, we saw geysers, hotpots, mud pots, and hot springs. It smelled like sulfur everywhere we went! On a hike, we saw our first bald eagle. They are incredible! I also saw elk, deer, and bison who were crossing the road! I truly had an amazing time in Yellowstone.
