5th Grade Chaiku Poems

This year The Jewish Studio Project challenged people all over the world to write "Chaiku" poems. These are poems where the syllables in each lines match the notes of the shofar.

Line One: Tekiah - One Note/One Syllable Line Two: Shevarim- Three Notes/Three Syllables Line Three: Teruah: Nine Notes/Nine Syllables Line Four: Tekiah Gedolah- One Note/One Syllable

These poems were written by 5th grade students at The Davis Academy in Atlanta, GA. Hopefully they will give you some food for thought as we head into the New Year. L'Shana Tova!
