MONTESQUEIU

  • He believed in a three branch governmant to balance power.
  • Article I and II of the constitution.
  • He is first because he came up with the best form of government whitch affected leaders ideas.

LOCKE

  • He believed all men are created equal.
  • The bill of rights is an example of this.
  • He affected the world a lot but his ideas did not affect goverments as much as Montesqueiu.

VOLTAIRE

  • He believed in freedom of speech.
  • His ideas also contributed to the Bill of Rights.
  • He is third because he only belived in freedom of speech, he didn't belive that all people are equal.

SMITH

  • Smith belived in a free market.
  • Lassez-Faire was a set of rules that summed up his philosophy.
  • He had great impact on economies everywhere, but economies aren't as important as rights and governments.

ROUSSEAU

  • He thought that the government shouldn't control peoples behavior and that people should be trusted.
  • "The Social Contract" was the book he made.
  • He is fifth because social structure is not nearly as important as government, economy, or rights.
