MONTESQUEIU
He believed in a three branch governmant to balance power.
Article I and II of the constitution.
He is first because he came up with the best form of government whitch affected leaders ideas.
2.
LOCKE
He believed all men are created equal.
The bill of rights is an example of this.
He affected the world a lot but his ideas did not affect goverments as much as Montesqueiu.
3.
VOLTAIRE
He believed in freedom of speech.
His ideas also contributed to the Bill of Rights.
He is third because he only belived in freedom of speech, he didn't belive that all people are equal.
4.
SMITH
Smith belived in a free market.
Lassez-Faire was a set of rules that summed up his philosophy.
He had great impact on economies everywhere, but economies aren't as important as rights and governments.
5.
ROUSSEAU
He thought that the government shouldn't control peoples behavior and that people should be trusted.
"The Social Contract" was the book he made.
He is fifth because social structure is not nearly as important as government, economy, or rights.
