This article helped me understand how inclusion supports every student in the classroom. I connected to this article because I was able to get a better understanding as to how and why inclusion is a great thing. I was apprehensive because I thought that maybe students without disabilities would not be challenged as much as they need to be. However, I learned that inclusion does not take the challenge out of the classroom, but only allows more people to be challenged.

Including students with disabilities allows for so much growth not only academically, but also socially and emotionally. I think it is so cool how not only are students with disabilities growing socially, but as well as students without disabilities. Some students are learning everyday social skills, and some are learning about how others live and the similarities between them.

I believe this will take the fear out of some students, because when students with disabilities are separated, the fear of the unknown is created. Separating students creates a division, and a difference between the students. However, when you take that away the students are able to learn about each other and live a life together.

I did not experience inclusion in my school, however I believe I will be seeing a lot more of it soon. The research shows that inclusion does not disturb learning in any way, but adds to the learning academically and socially.
