The name "Greaser" came from the greased-black hairstyle which was combed back with gel. The subculture was popular for teenagers at the time. It originated in northeastern and southern United States.

5 popular toys from the 1950-60's were; Hoola-hoops, a slinky, colorforms, jacks and balls, etch-a-sketch, and Lincoln logs.
