If your environment is always stronger than your will, fire will and employ some of these strategies to build a place we want to go to. We'll follow you. I would. And I have like the strength of ten men. So we'll need a van.

Tweak 1

high five your wi fi
Research the ever loving hell out of the top of the line wifi, review the costs with ALC and ownership group. FIgure out costs, negotiate. get best dollar Then negotiate best INCLUDING customer service calls. Find cell phone carrier towers in the area, invest in what's going to plus the largest number of agents. Cost is inevitable. Raise your thermostat early.
Environment will always be stronger than will. Pull in your top 20%/ALC. let them tell the news.

TWEAK 2: PLAN Toga!

#events + @focus = likes
Homework's been done. You know your story; the real knitty gritty; where we put out fires, where we shine like the Ritz Carlton. Own it. Hashtag your events, your YEAR ahead of time. Follow KISS (the rule, not the band). Establish your rating, remind them of culture. Battlecries? yep. Empowering change agents? do it. Define Jumping the Shark and how to avoid it. Hashtags are the cologne of SM.... easy does it. Educational calendar is a great place to start. if an agent took certain classes, what would their major be? College campus theme.... be careful: people WILL expand into the conversations you have around them. choose wisely.

TWEAK 3: Create triggers

initiate conversation AS a tribe member...
Had a light switch once in an office that someone had used a label maker and affixed "question the source" above it. Not a day went by when i didn't wonder.... who the heck took the time to... what does it MEAN??? That was the purpose. Every time I hit that light switch? I went all transcendental. maybe it was the tea, The light switch was a trigger. Your alarm clock is a trigger. There are plusses every day that serve as a trigger for telling the story of your hallowed hallways. special notes, coaching, wow moments from your staff, ,those are natural. Saying thank you, gratitude calls trigger smiles. Broken coffee pots, getting cut off on the highway, hulk get angry. triggers are quick. Triggers are simple. this is tribe member to tribe member messaging. they'll get the word out... if it's remarkable. In that it causes them to remark, word will spread.

TWEAK 4: Invitations like lottery tickets

The more you play...
If at first you don't succeed, skydiving, bomb defusing... inviting people to sit down with you is a part of what you do. Make it a point to have your market center inviting all agents, new and seasoned, not yet with the company to join the conversation, through direct contact: share the culture, the events, the fun, the help, the charity. Consider the date and the weight of the invitation. tickets a month from now (planned) vs. Hey, just found these tickets (reactinoary) Mastermind invitations now? Needs assessment questions now with September ahead? Your strategic. Prove it.

TWEAK 5: Follow

add, share, update your market center line-up
Imagine your entire market center was headed to familly reunion; before you left, you'd share everyone's contact info so you could keep in touch. every week in your market center is an event. people share when they're ready, receive when they're ready AND when you've taken time to research how they show up ANYWHERE, its customer service at it's best. hard to highlight ALC member teaching when twitter handle is a mystery. make a point to put on flyers, pulled from roster you and your staff have created. Update consistently.... Invite them to follow you, subscribe to you, like you. they may just take you up on it.

TWEAK 6: Syndicate

invite them into your social medium
30 days every month. 20 working days. invite staff, past clients, current clients, affiliates, agents a day in the lime light. compile stories, videos.
have them model how to Walk Culture. Invite them to Show consultation. Enchant with your campus they're teaching in. Have them write check to charity.

TWEAK 7: hire clark kent

there's a social reporter in every room
every class. every good deed. every ALC meeting. every success. every event. every Strong decision. Ever have that great moment on a vacation ruined by someone saying "hey do that again, so i can take a picture!" Sure. The moment's gone. I missed the best part, as did you messing with your camera or your phone.
Let those there for class, take the class. Institute a rule of "you learn, we'll give you the credit" Feels better. facebragging isn't a good strategy.
Inman. family Reunion. Other peoples slide shows. since the dawn of man, seeing other people correctly labeling you in photos shows your paying attention. it matters. Good camera. ipad mini. See what happens to your educational calendar.

TWEAK 8: customer Service/FAQ

WOW is your new verb
Virgin Airlines. Success Magazine. Morton's Steakhouse. Amazon. All incredible cultures. Awe-inspiring customer service moments. http://shankman.com/the-best-customer-service-story-ever-told-starring-mort... Your MC can too. careful: will need creativity. possible budget. Sense of humor. Come from Contribution mindset AND your agents will back you up on this. Imagine when three movers show up to help buyers move in. WOW. imagine Agents show up and monicure elderly couples lawn. WOW. Red Day could be a lot of days.... AND if the market center is contacted through SM, responds through SM, you can bet your review will be on there as well. #classact

Tweak 8.5: linkedIn

an HR department, training tool
You can think of who they are right now, and they're doing it at a high level; agents using linkedin are connecting with users who on average have college or higher education, make at least $60,000 a year, and were attracted to the business networking atmosphere and code of LinkedIn. as a training company, with independent contractors relocating staff, hiring, and learning based, this could be the teacher's lounge of coolness you can build bridges, train connecting, find talent, and put a ding in your business community.

TWEAK 9: Reminders

Spreading ideas that work..often
Seth Godin wrote: “Leadership is the art of giving people a platform for spreading ideas that work.” Without reviewing ideas that work with our MC at a regular intervals, we're hoping they'll remember. between hopeful and being proactive, one is a great strategy. Be Careful of SPAM.... without lifeguarding and guiding, your showcase can turn into Bad Karaoke quickly.

TWEAK 10: prompt questions for speakers

Never an Awkward silence...
When speakers come to town, elicit questions from agents who can't be there, maybe family members, maybe clients, the option is yours. With a little aim, you could hit on some great targets. Without it, Brian Tracy tells a story of a hunter.....

TWEAK 11: coming to you live!

Livestream, Skype, Hangout, Facetime,Screenshare Friendly
When you're able to nationally beam trainers or speakers in for workshops, or share what your workshops are with the world, it puts you on the Map. Market Centers have employed an EZ board in their training rooms (no cost). Skype can be seamless. Google hangouts may take practice AND can be recorded with up to ten participants. Screen sharing is a great way to show you what they mean in real time. Consider having your reporter double as a producer to practice, handle, and polish your online classes to feel CNN'y. Except accurate.

Tweak 11.5: Playlists

Video and Music are motivators and taste makers
The number of videos we watch is astounding. Think about when you look through peoples DVD collection, when you looked through their albums, tapes, CDs MP3's, you get an idea of who they are, and what's on their mind. You can tell a lot about a business by their mental diet.... and it's not just books on the shelf. Create Motivational Playlists for agents, FAQ answered for staff and new agents on YouTube, use Sites like Grooveshark or Spotify to create a soundtrack for your office. Consider branding your videos with a trailer from Fiverr.com

Tweak 12: be remarkable

Avoiding the RT/Like Cycle with care and candor
liking is a quick nod to say "yes, i dig that" or "i'm on board" or "no comment."

Huh. Retweeting too much can lead to people viewing your MC's profile as a connector, and then sadly to a place where no original ideas or content come from. They'll quickly search out your sources, follow them, and the law of the lid has just virtually slammed on your mojo.

Add Agents' Slides To Slideshare
could be a class built around your town. One on follow up. could just be series of slides re: how to follow up with clients, hold a 7 level open house... it's a great way to share information on a broader scale. If we're a nationally ranked (#2) training company that's built on a culture of sharing... let's do this at a high level. anyone fearful of 'oversharing" or reverse engineering can really knock on our door, and we'll share it... this kind of confidence? infectious.

keep your mc in the know
Starting with and not limited to:
1. news sources nationally
2. news sources locally
3. competitors
4. new hires
5. Current agents
6. ALC
7. potential hires
8. friends and family
9. journalists
10. speakers, conferences & trainers coming to your mc
11. bloggers
12. interests of your MC, charitys, sports teams
13. affiliates
14. your team/staff
Empire building and Empire protecting in mind. Also, you’re going to see higher engagement when you send appropriate messages to the right groups. You can send open house invites to affiliates… match the invitation to your intentions and they may just show up

Tweak 15: Family Ties

Show off your trophies
Quality of Life is a big deal; can be a game changer for a lot of independent contractors. highlight how your biggest support staff is involved in what you do. Contests. Adam Hergenrother college grade contest. Your office can be a refrigerator door. KW Cares for Kids. Create an Ignite for kids page on FB.... BOLD Family Goals Quarter. If someone works 50 hours a week, they have 118 hours left where they're doing something. We’re not the only folks who have family reunions… when your agents make time to attend theirs too? says a lot about our culture.

Tweak 16: vision Board meeting

Pinterest is dream managing without gluesticks and glitter
Knowing that over 60% of people are visual, goal setting gets you there 10X faster through visualization and writing it down, pictures travel 60,000 times faster, and stay in your long term memory more... you'd figure vision boards would be all over the place. From Pinterest Account pages, HaikuDeck (like this one) Great Screen savers to keep agents on track. Drills down high quality photos produce high quality results. From a scrapbook of agents in your office, to recaps of events like Red Day/ FR mega agent camp to lead gen time to handing clients keys, tell your story. And tell it often, or someone else will.
