NBA PLAYING DAYS

• Phil jackson was drafted in 1967 and in his book he said how much of a honor it was to play alongside future hall of famers and how there main goal was to win a NBA championship.
• In the book he told me the stuggles it was to get along with everybody and how everyone wanted the ball there were no chemitry and not ball movement but most of all there were no trust on the team
• But when a teammember died from sickness the team started a bond and from that point they went on to win the 1970 nba championship

COACHING THE BULLS

• When jackson first got to Chicago become the head coach he was already introduced to a stacked team of prime time players such as scottie pippen, Horace grant, And most of all Michael Jordan.
• But again the team lacked of chemitry and most of all lacked trust in one another so jackson would take time out of practice and would go on team trips so the players would bond and trust each other just like what he did when he was with the knicks and after that all happened the bulls were on a roll
• Phil jackson and the bulls went on to win 6 NBA champion ships they 3 peated 2 times and micheal jordan was a big reason why they won them. But most of all it was phil putting them all together to be more than just a team he made that team of ball hogging players into great unselfish brothers.

COACHING THE LAKERS

• After the run jackson had with the bulls he seek a new path a new team and he found it with a very young and rising team the los angeles lakers.
• The Lakers were on track of making one of the biggest trades of all time in getting shaq and with shaq they would dominate the paint and by shaqs side he had a young sharp shooter that goes by the name kobe bryant.
• After jacksons first year they made the playoffs and won the championship he went on to do the 2 more straight years than decided to retire
• After 3 years of retiring jackson came back to the struggling lakers and turned the into a title contender with kobe bryant leading the way they went on to winning back to back titles in 2008 and 2009

JACKSON FINALLY CALLS IT QUITS

• After coaching and playing in the nba for almost 25 years jackson finally decides to retire from the nba with winning 11 nba championship rings. 6 with the bulls and 5 with the lakers jackson is one of the best coaches of all time and will always be know for bonding a team together and making them champions.

WHAT THE BOOK MEANS TO ME

• The book title means to me is greatness just having 1 championship ring is alot but having 11 thats a legacy right there.

• Without those 3 things i dont think i could live or achive anything in life because you need to trust what you are doing you need to have the honor and courage on what your doing and most of all you need to follow through with it all.
