PRESENTATION OUTLINE
FIRST AMENDMANT
The first amendment says that everyone has a right of religion, speech, press, assemble, and petition.It set a basis for for most laws that we have now.
SECOND AMENDMENT
The government can not take away people's right to bear arms or keep a militia.
THIRD AMENDMENT
A soldier can't stay in a house with out permission from the owner. Neither in time of peace or war.
FOURTH AMENDMENT
The government can't search a citizens house with out a warrant. The warrant can only be issued if the it is specific and there is a suspicion against the home owner.
FIFTH AMENDMENT
No one should have the right of life, liberty, and property taken away from them. Also people's private land can't be taken away from them without agreement.
SIXTH AMENDMENT
Every criminal should have the right to a quick trial and the trial should be run fairly.
SEVENTH AMENDMENT
Any case less than 20$ will not be held in a federal court. Also it is illegal to set up your own court system. Any court is approved by the U.S government.
EIGHTH AMENDMENT
Prohibits any cruel or unusual punishment. Also no excessive bail.
NINETH AMENDMENT
None of the amendments could be used to dance any other amendments out.
TENTH AMENDMENT
Any power not given to the federal government is given to the people or the states.
