HISTORY
Construction started in 1407, and ended in 1420.
There were were a total of 24 emperors from 1644-191.
Today the Palace Museum (The Forbidden City) has over 1 million relics.

LOCATION
The Forbidden City is in the central part of Beijing, China.
The Wu Gate is the formal southern entrance, it is also one of the tallest buildings.
The Forbidden City covers 178 acres, and is north of "Tienanmen Square"

Architecture
The most important buildings face south to hounor the sun
The city walls are 10 meters high, and it has a 52 meter wide moat!!
The city is in a rectangular shape and covers 720,000 square meters!
