Some "before" and "after" slide examples, created for "Five Strategies for Renovating Your Listing Presentation," a webinar we presented for TruliaPro.

REALTY WORLD
If you're talking with a client face to face, they know what you look like. Why not choose a beautiful, aspirational image that connects you with the place--in this case, Coral Gables, Florida?

Lots of detail, but also dense and not easy to read.

For a market like Miami, emphasizing the global approach might be particularly important.

Try highlighting one data point or idea at a time to be sure the story unfolds with impact.

"JUST LISTED" POSTCARDS

You could demonstrate a comprehensive approach by talking first to the global, and then the local.

BUYER SCREENING AND PRE-QUALIFICATION

You can decide which points are most important to illustrate. Many listing presentations include the same points, so be sure to present how your approach is different, or how it will save your client time and money.

THOROUGH, TIMELY FOLLOW-UP

Here, Clara had mentioned that she uses follow-up as an opportunity to gather feedback even from leads that aren't interested, so choosing an image to illustrate this sets her apart.

Clara had included a number of transactions, but as a potential buyer, what I'd really want to know is not what the properties were listed before, but what they had sold for, and how quickly Clara had closed the deals. Think about what data most effectively demonstrates your track record.

SOLD May 2012, $730,000
Using better quality images and a more polished design, and focusing on the sold price and timing, increase the impact.

Awards are powerful and important to call out, but it's worth thinking about how they are presented.

Here's an example of highlighting multiple awards in a high-impact way.

Testimonials are incredibly valuable for building trust and demonstrating social proof, but including photocopies of full letters might not tell the story in the most compelling way.

"SHE MADE EVERYTHING HAPPEN ON SCHEDULE

after being told it would not be possible." Michael & Heather Foster
Try choosing just one high-impact quote that really captures your unique contribution and focusing on that.
