Are nephews of King Creon of Thebes

CAPTURED AND IMPRISONED

By Theseus Duke of Athens, after Creon was killed

THEIR CELL IS IN THE TOWER

Of Theseus' castle which over looks his garden

PALAMON AWOKE IN THE PRISON TO SEE

Emily in the courtyard

HIS MOAN WAS HEARD BY ARCITA

Who then too wakes to see Emily

THEY BOTH FALL IN LOVE WITH HER,

But competition grew between the two

AFTER SOME YEARS ARCITA IS

Released from prison by Theseus' friend Pirithoos

ARCITA RETURNS TO ATHENS IN DISGUISE

And enters service in Emily's house hold

PALAMON ESCAPES BY DRUGGING THE JAILER

In hiding he hears Arcita singing about love and fortune

But Theseus intervened and proposed a solution...
