  • Difficulty in forming relationships with other people.
  • Difficulty in communicating.
  • Difficulty in using language and abstract concepts.
  • Present from early childhood.

About kids with autism

  • Kids with autism can’t make connections that other kids make easily.
  • A kid might have trouble at understanding what a word means.
  • To teach them simple words. 
  • Be consistent with them.
  • Different types of symptoms.

A person named Jacob Barnett that was diagnosed with moderate to severe autism at the age of 2, but he took college course and taught himself all of high school math in just 2 weeks when he was 10 years old.

About autism

  • Autism happens to people all over the world.
  • Some people who have autism have to go to special classes.
  • Researchers don't know exactly how many people in the U.S. have autism.
  • Autism can't be reliably diagnosed until around 2 years of age.
  • People are not born with autism, they develop it later.
