MEMBEAN

  • Membean is where I can improve my now miscellaneous vocabulary.
  • One thing I really need to work on is remembering to do my minutes. Lately I have not been doing them.

MYTHS/ MYTH WRITING

  • In class we read different myths learning the characteristics of a myth.
  • After learning the characteristics we had a summative on writing our own myth. My myth is called Triantaphyllos

  • We also did the VAbE chart (values,attitude,beliefs, experiences).
  • We also did a t-chart on movie vs. myth
  • We also did myth mania (with a story mountain and what the moral was. We had to identify it).

GREEKS AND ANCIENT GREECE

  • In class we learned about the Greeks and their religion/culture
  • We would do CSEs on Newsela.
  • We learnt about the first two types of people ; the Mycenaens and the minoans.

READING GOALS

  • One of my goals this year is to read more horror books
  • Another goal is to soak into the book.
  • My last goal is exploring different genres

GOVERNMENT

  • Currently we are learning about government in class in Ancient Greece.
  • Monarchy- single rule and was passed down by hierarchy

  • Oligarchy-a group of rich families that ruled
  • Tyranny- single rule where the ruler would only listen to people
  • Democracy- where people had a voice and made their own decisions.

NOODLETOOLS

  • NoodleTools is a place where I can keep all my notes and thoughts in one place where I can access it digitally
  • We have done three separate projects since the last conferences.
