WEATHERING & EROSION

BY G.J.

CHEMICAL WEATHERING

  • Chemical weathering is the erosion or disintegration of rocks, building materials, etc., caused by chemical reactions (chiefly with water and substances dissolved in it) rather than by mechanical processes.

This is the 2nd picture of chemical weathering.

MECHANICAL WEATHERING

  • Mechanical weathering is any of the various weathering processes that cause physical disintegration of exposed rock without any change in the chemical composition of the rock.

This is the 2nd picture of example of mechanical weathering

EROSION

  • Erosion is the process of eroding or being eroded by wind, water, or other natural agents.

This is the 2nd picture of example of erosion.
