  • A scheduled group conversation

Open Groups--Anyone can see what is posted and anyone can become a member.

Closed Groups--Anyone can see the group and who's in it. Only members see posts.

Secret Groups--Only members see the group, who's in it, and what members post.

Most counselors would say that being connected to a Facebook group helps them from feeling alone in their profession, gives them access to new ideas, and access to lots of great resources.

Pros & cons OF FACEBOOK

  • Ask a questions and within minutes you can get answers
  • Documents can be shared with members by uploading files
  • Can share information from a variety of sources

  • Many schools have block filters on facebook
