ASEXUALITY

Asexual, Grey-A, Demi, and Romanticism

WHAT'S ASEXUALITY?

  • Asexual technically refers to a person who is not sexually attracted to other people
  • Sometimes considered a sexual orientation, sometimes considered the lack of one

WHO IS AN ACE?

  • Anyone may be an Ace!
  • Aces may be of any gender identity
  • Aces may have intimate relationships, including having sex

AN ACE DOES NOT

  • Have a mental disorder
  • Have a hormone imbalance
  • Have a fear of sex
  • Have a CHOICE
  • (Although their may be some aces with these things)

GREY-A

  • Grey-Asexuals identify mostly with asexual so, but have exceptions.
  • They are "almost asexual" with infrequent or limited experiences of attraction.
  • THIS IS NOT EQUIVILANT TO A FETISH

DEMI-SEXUAL

  • Demisexual people are only attracted to other people after having formed a strong emotional bond.

ROMANTICISM

  • Aromatics do not experience romantic attraction. Aromantics are not always asexual and vice versa.
  • Demiromantics are not attracted romantically to a person until they have formed a strong emotional bond with a person.

ROMANTICISM (CONT)

  • Asexuals can have romantic attraction
  • Like sexuality, there is heteromanticism, homoromanticism, biromanticism, ect.

Things can change. Some people are not born asexual and some do not stay that way their whole life. Some people are asexual their whole life and live normally, have kids, have families, ect.
