The Fructose Epidemic

Prior to the 1900s, fructose consumption was about 15 grams per person per day.

Excess fructose is strongly linked to insulin resistance, obesity and weight gain, hypertension, leptin resistance (also known as weight loss resistance), dyslipidemia and type 2 diabetes.

Insulin and leptin resistance are caused by too much sugar and can lead to problems with weight loss and obesity.

Insulin Resistance

When you are chronically consuming high levels of
sugar you are overworking your body at a dangerous level, which can lead to insulin resistance.

Insulin resistance occurs when your cells refuse to respond to insulin.

As the blood sugar levels climb higher and higher, the body starts storing the sugar in adipose tissue which can cause you to gain weight and it can lead to diabetes.

Chronic high blood sugar levels are extremely damaging and toxic to the body. It causes rapid aging and increases pain and inflammation within your body.

The only way to heal your cells, skyrocket your energy levels, lose unwanted weight and optimize your health is to avoid sugar and anything that metabolizes into sugar quickly within your body.

This is critical for cellular healing and detoxification.

Leptin Resistance

Leptin is a hormone secreted by the hypothalamus as well as adipose tissue that tells your body when to stop eating or that you are satisfied.

Leptin also tells your body to burn fat .

When you remove sugar
from your diet, you are on your way to a slim and sexy figure and you reduce the risk of chronic disease.

How’s that for maximizing your health?
