  • Always look for better ways to do things
  • Can a new process be put in place or can the process be altered
  • Document the process
  • Ensure all staff understand the process and the need for professionalism

  • Customer service should be put at the heart of everything we do.
  • Customers include parents, pupils, support staff, teachers, SLT and outside agencies
  • Manage peoples expectations

  • Focus on key deliverables short term and long term
  • Communicate this with your team
  • Motivate your team to ensure all working on the same page
  • Identify barriers to progress
  • Recognise that your team is your greatest asset

5. STRONG IT AND ADMIN SKILLS

  • Keep accurate records on school IT systems
  • Use IT to support the key deliverables
  • Recognise where skill knowledge can be shared and updated
  • Strong admin skills
