An adverb modifies or describes an adjective, a verb or another adverb.
Adverbs are also called modifiers.
Adverbs help express manner, place, time or degree.
Sentence adverbs can modify an entire sentence.
Adverbs can also modify or change phrases.
Adverbs are one of the most important parts of English to study.
Here are a few examples with adverbs! Can you find them?
Q: Are you a really happy person? A: I think so. I am always very cheerful.
Q: Is it super hot in the summer where you live? A: Yes, extremely warm!
Q: Are you riding the red bus today? A: Yes and tomorrow as well!
