PRESENTATION OUTLINE
Problem: We needed to build a bridge with a 10 inch span and we could only use 240 inches of Balsa wood.
DEVELOP POSSIBLE SOLUTION: WE cAN
- Make sure the floor on our bridge is straight and even
- Make sure the truss is the same on the both sides.
- Make sure we Don't use over 240 inches of wood
The best solution is that the truss is even on both sides.
Construct prototype: first we measured the floor and then cut the wood that fits it.
Construct prototype: Then we glued the floors together and the side of the bridge.
Construct Prototype: Then we started to work on the side trusses on both sides.
Construct prototype: We started to glue the wood on the sides so we can put the truss on.
When we tested our bridge only held 2.5 pounds but held 10 pounds of pressure. Video on iPad.
This is one of our blueprints.
