POLAR HABITAT

  • Polar habitats are located in the very north and very south of the globe.
  • Polar habitats have just two seasons: summer and winter (but even summer is normally very cold). In Summer, the sun doesn't set for six whole months. And in winter, the sun doesn't come out for another six months.

COMPARISONS

  • Polar bears can't live in the forest because they need cold temperatures.
  • The penguins can swim but birds don't.
  • Polar bears can eat fish but the octopuses don't eat fish.
  • Tigers can live in high temperature places, but not in cold temperature places (polar).
