POLITICAL EFFECTS

  • Major effect: King Henry became head of church when it used to be the Pope
  • King Henry established an Anglican church and gained authority over the Pope
  • This put the Pope at a lower position in social class
  • The kings had the highest social hierarchy which changed everyones ranks

SOCIAL EFFECT

  • The position of power changed into different social classes
  • The bible was translated into German so it was available to almost everyone
  • The Christian religion was divided, as well as the land
  • The south area of Europe is Catholic, and North was Protestant

ECONOMIC EFFECTS

  • The Catholic Church would raise lots of moeny through the sale of indulgences
  • This resulted in the money and gold leaving from Europe
  • The money and gold left from Europe went into the non-papl states
  • This left many of the European states impoverished
