What is Ohiolink?

OhioLINK is the partnership between University Libraries throughout Ohio, who share items between one another.

Unlike ILL, items from OhioLink lenders will check out on your University of Akron library account.

When you search in our catalog or in search-a-roo, you get the chance to request OhioLINK books when our books are unavailable.

where to find OhioLink?

Search-A-Roo

Click the Retrieve Catalog Item Link

UA Catalog

Click the Search OhioLINK button
If a Bierce book is missing or checked out, you may still request through OhioLINK. However, books available at Bierce and other University of Akron libraries should be checked out before resorting to off-site resources.

The OhioLINK catalog is linked on the UA Libraries Homepage

What's the Catch?

OhioLINK books can only be requested if UA Libraries do not have an AVAILABLE copy.

Make Sure University of Akron does not have a copy before Requesting OhioLINK.

If a patron from the owning institution requests the OhioLINK book you checked out, you may have to return it early.
